It's been 1 week since this journey began!! Thank goodness a week has passed!
Mom is more aware this morning but after she gets her pain medicine she thinks she is in "Washington D.C." at times and has hollered out "hey, batter, batter" like she was at the Texas Rangers game. ⚾
They are moving Mom to a room today Room 306. Dad is hoping this helps with the "ICU psychosis"!
Mom got her dressing changed this morning and Dad sent me a picture of the incision. OUCH!!!
Praying for a better day for Mom and Dad both.
Daniel and Michelle are headed there tonight so please pray for safe travels.

Your sweet mother is in my thoughts and prayers, as well as Blane and family. Thanks for keeping us updated on all things. Love to all,
ReplyDeleteGail Renne
Thanks for posting the news for all of us who wish that we could be there to give you and your family support. We love you guys and have had you on our mind daily and sometimes even have woken up with her on my mind and praying all the time that our Father will heal her so that everyone will be amazed by how quick she has recovered and they will know that our Father does the impossible... God you know that we all are praying for Brenda and that you will place your healing hands upon her and that you will protect her from any infections and please keep her from having any meds that make her so loopy... but I do like the story about her calling to the batter... :) Father, she is a dear child of yours hold her tightly and also for Blane and the kids this is difficult for them and they need your strength and peace through out this time. Thank you Father for the blessings you have already placed on them all. In Him I ask you all these things. Bev
ReplyDeleteRebekah, Do you know if your Dad got the card that Bunco sent? We are all still praying and hoping for the very best in all things. Glad that Daniel is getting to go back, that will be good for your Dad to have another male presence.
ReplyDeleteHUGS!

Rebekah, I have been out of town for a week, and just now found the email telling me about Brenda's surgery. I have read all your posts on the blog, and can not imagine how hard this has been; of course on Brenda, bless her heart, and all her family. I know you hate seeing your sweet mom in pain.
ReplyDeleteI will add her to my prayer list now, and pray for her continued healing and recovery. Every day will be that much closer to walking that mile without the walker.
with love,
Celia
Brenda,
ReplyDeleteThey could have put a full length rhinestone zipper down your back! So glad to hear that you are out of ICU and beginning therapy. I'm going to make plans soon to come see you. Love you and Blane bunches.
